The Porch Partner’s Guide to Hosting a Shenandoah Seasonal Pickup Site

Thank you for bringing Shenandoah Seasonal to your neighborhood.

📣 Welcome, Porch Partner!

We’re so glad you’re here.

Porch Partners play a huge role in helping our community stay connected to local food. Every pickup hosted, every conversation shared, and every neighbor invited helps strengthen our local food system in a real way.

We’re growing our pickup sites from the Shenandoah Valley to DC, and we truly believe we can reach more families together.

To make sharing easy, we’ve created a ready-to-use flyer, wallet cards, signs and a social post you can use anytime. Whether you post online, put out a sign, or simply tell a friend about us, it all helps us grow.

We’ve designed the Porch Partner experience to be as simple and supportive as possible, and we’re grateful to have you as part of this community. There are a few helpful things to know, which we’ve outlined in the sections below. Please review them, and if you ever need anything, we’re here to help.

Thank you for helping local food reach more families.

⭐️ Porch Partner Rewards & Responsibilities

We believe in celebrating community builders. Here’s what you’ll receive as your site grows:

📣 Free flyers, signs, social posts, and support to help grow your site

💳 $10 referral bonus for every new member who joins through your link

🥬 Your own Shenandoah Seasonal share, free every week, once 10 or more members pick up at your porch (for as long as your site stays at 10+)

Your Role in Supporting Local Food & Community

With great rewards comes great responsibility. Being a Porch Partner means you’re agreeing to the following when you host a pickup site:

🧹 Weekly Site Check

Make sure your pickup area is clean, safe, and accessible on pickup days. On hot or rainy days, keep shares shaded or covered if you can.

📋 Share Check & Grace Period Support

At the end of each pickup day, check if any shares are left behind. Send a quick message to Farmhand with a list of members who still need to pick up (they’ll send out a reminder on your behalf).

🚪 Help Members Feel Welcome

Occasionally, new members may ring your doorbell or knock because they’re not sure where to find their share. A friendly wave, pointing them to the right spot, or a quick explanation goes a long way.

💬 Communication & Feedback

Let us know if anything comes up: missed deliveries, concerns about quality, or if your availability ever changes. We’re here to support you!
